Specifying a writing style is optional– if you don't provide one, it will default to chat-based conversation style.
You can describe the desired writing style in natural language within the style prompt.
The writing style is also influenced by which model you choose (ChatGPT or Claude).
To specify a style, go to styles dashboard and create new style descriptions there.
An example of specifying using sample text could be:
"Write like this: 'Dear diary…'"
Examples:
"Write like I'm talking to a friend."
"Write formally with proper citations."
"Be funny but accurate."
Please note that while the system will try its best to match specified styles correctly without excessive verbosity they cannot guarantee perfect mimicry of any particular author's voice/style nor do they have access rights/licenses for more specific language queries such as those pertaining exclusively or primarily towards historical periods/events/people unless explicitly provided for by users themselves through additional data sources like books, articles et cetera.
